Mr. Grenell,
I agree wholeheartedly with the idea that Susan Rice should resign, except for different reasons.
Eversince she took over the UN post, Dr. Rice has been very antagonist, to put it mildly, to positions and views that do not tiptoe that of the US government. That’s why I feel it is disengeneous for one to even suggest that she was not tough enough in her handling of foreign affairs.
With regard to Syria, she made every effort for the endorsement of the resolution and was met with stiff resistance by both Russia and China. Most countries have a clear stand on the issue of Syria:cessation of hostility and peaceful dialogue between the Syrian government and the Opposition. There’s a conflicting report as to the nature and cause of the casualties you alluded to.
As you may be aware, Dr Rice also managed to pass two UN resolutions in a span of two years against Eritrea, an East African country, on basis of some unsubstantiated and unfounded “terrorism” allegations. It’s been a while since Dr Rice stopped listening for voices of reason and became hostile to countries whose political views she perceived incompatible to the agendas she’s set to achieve.
For these and other reasons, I strongly concur to the idea of her leaving the post and replaced by someone more diplomatic and open minded.
Thank you!
