Born to a throne, stronger than Rome

Our history, so Unique in Nature, is not a treasure in the past or an
importation from another land, but part of the present life of all
Eritreans. A story of excitement and enthusiasm, a combination of
intellectual magnificence and physical struggle to which we must hold on
to, and preserve. What does May 24 mean to you? To us it means a chance
for freedom and a chance for life, a day in which we are thankful for a
country which embodies our identity and country which we can call our
own. Today
is forever dedicated to those who gave their life, their family, and their
future in the fight for a country their people could call their own. We
must never forget what they died for. We must honor them by continuing to
remember their HIDRI. The legacy of Heroes is the memory of a great name
and the inheritance of a great example. To see it continue through the
mind set and heart of the future generation is truly a blessing and what
makes Eritrea unique and Special.
