Dear Berhani and Elsa Kiflom!
Please excuse my confusion, but why are you guys running an Ethiopian food restaurant, and not an Eritrean one, if you feel so damn "patriotic" about Eritrea? I mean, it's not like Eritrea and Ethiopia are close allies and friends, or are they? Unless you've been living in a cave for the past few years, I'm sure you're aware that Ethiopia is still occupying Eritrean land and denying tens of thousands of Eritreans their right to return to their homes. Apparantly you have no problem with Ethiopia holding Eritrea hostage. It seems to me that Berhani and Elsa Kiflom have little or no self respect or suffer from self-hatred. It just seems the only logical conclusion.

Re: [dehai-news] Fixing the lack of Accountabilty & Taking on
Responsibility: The Eritrean Sports Federation in North America.
Dear Michael Seium,
We wish to express our profound disdain with regard to what you wrote in
your article on June 22, 2009. In particular, the paragraph name“
Inconsistent decision making by the Presidentâ€, example # 2.
The narrative of example #2 was neither consistent with the facts of the
matter nor in the spirit of the occasion.
The fact of the matter is this; you have already tarnished the good
reputation of the president by accusing him of collaborating with an Ethiopian
Restaurant. Nothing can be further from the truth.
It seems there has been a profound effort by you to slander us and our
patriotism based on a blatant hear say not facts. This has further exasperated
our mental anxiety and could negatively impact our standing in the
community.
We are Eritrean and proud to be one, and we run an Ethiopian Restaurant.
Which is more important, us as an Eritrean to participate in this great
event or boycott us because of a name.
As a proud Eritrean, we love our brothers and sisters and love our
Ethiopian brothers and sisters as well.
FYI, whenever there is an Ethiopian event, it is always open to anybody to
conduct business without any discrimination.
Being the Public Relations Officer, and in the sports spirit, you should
be more open mined and learn how to unite instead of injecting outdated
ideas and philosophies.
The only conclusion we can reach from your article, is that either you are
not aware of the facts of the matter or are deliberately setting out to
scupper us to your own benefit.
Regards,
Queen of Sheba Ethiopian Restaurant
Berhani & Elsa Kiflom
