Selam Seb Dehai:
Over the last three weeks, we had the pleasure to
listen to two important speeches: one that carries
significant message, at least on a regional level, and
the other represented an epic moment of an electoral
phenomenon that has caught the imagination of the
whole world.
HE. President Isayas Afeworki in his extensive New
Year's interview he conducted with TVEre,to be exact,
at the 59Th minute mark of the third part, stated that
those entities that had been trying, especially since
the end of The Cold War,to advance and implement a
very dangerous scheme of political and economic
hegemony, have found themselves in a dead end. The
exact TigriNga word he used is "Tezerigewom"
President Barack Hussien Obama,in his inaugural speech
said:
<<What the cynics fail to understand is that the
ground has shifted beneath them — that the stale
political arguments that have consumed us for so long
no longer apply>>
In a broader sense,to a great extent,it has not only
been the work of those entities that have indirectly
caused for such cynicism, but they have also taken
advantage of it to advance their exclusive
agendas.Well, the ground has started to shift beneath
these entities and they have been scrambling yet to
hijack the call for CHANGE.The peculiarity of these
entities is that the more the ground starts to shift
beneath them, the more they resurface above the ground
so to speak,to expose themselves.
The attached piece briefly discusses the recent
self-revelation of few of those who had been
surreptitiously working to undermine Eritrea's
national aspirations and sovereignty.
