Selam Haile Bokure,

Indeed, Haile ! This Eritrean land is indeed blessed with heroes. The late
Prof. Tekie Fessahatzion is one hero that unselfishly and proudly fought
with his pen and intellectual passion for the land of his ancestors. Prof.
Tekie's life is a life lived to the fullest.

I hope young Eritreans, irrespective of their political persuasions, will
carry on [Ane
"Tekie" Keide] the torch of intellectualism and scholarship that Prof.
Tekie's many
lucid and elegant writings embodied and exuded.

Zeyhilel
“Stubborn and ardent clinging to one's
opinion is the best proof of stupidity.”...
.............. Michel de Montaigne

It is is a Spring
A month of the poets.
How I wish I could write
Of blooming flowers
Of trees, of running waters
Of glittering stars
Of radiant sun
Of gentle winds
Of singing birds
Of cheerful kids
Alas..............
Such emotion, such sigh
All of a sudden
Is punctuated
>From near or afar
Upon missing
Our great scholar
Tekie, Tekie
As his name suggested
The replaced
But the irreplaceable ones
As a patriotic sage
So principled, and determined
Even during the dark hours
Of our people
By exposing the lies,
Plots and intrigues
Of those who engaged
In the dirty business
Of politics
For this he will always
Be remembered as a free
In the annals of Eritrean history.

Haile Bokure.
