Dear friends,
Our teachers of the fifties and sixties seemed to take parental role in terms of instilling educational value and discipline. Memhr and the later Beramberas Amanuel Gebrehiwet affectionately called abo gerej who was the principal of Betghirogis School located on Asmara-Massawa road was and still is an example. There is more to write about this great educator who nurtured a generation of Eritrean scholars, professionals and politicians among whom are now in Eritrean leadership.
