The Genocide Puck Stops at Zenawi's Feet Period

Shortly after June 18th, 2008 when Human Rights Watch published the most detailed report ever written about the genocide in Ogaden perpetrated by the Woyane clique in Addis Ababa, a small group of Woyane leaders led by Meles Zenawi - the current Ethiopian premier- convened an urgent meeting in a military barrack outside Addis Ababa.
The main item on the agenda was the concern that those in attendance had about the growing chorus of respected organizations that have concluded that the events taking place in Ogaden fit the widely accepted United Nation's definition of genocide.
Those present were alarmed by the use, for the first time, of commercial satellite imagery as evidence of the genocidal events that the Woyane militias masquerading as the Ethiopian army have perpetrated in Ogaden.
All those present in the meeting agreed that the only way the Woyane regime could deflect the blame of the genocide taking root in Ogaden was to create a federally funded, local militia that, in the worst case scenario, could be blamed for being the 'sole' perpetrators of the Ogaden genocide without direction from Addis Ababa.
Shortly after this meeting, the first members of what is now known in Ogaden as the 'Liyu, or new Police' were recruited, trained, and armed. To this day, recruitment of new members for this unlicensed militia continues unabated. Although militia members are not even trained as a police force, yet even the lowest ranking members make more in a month's salary than a captain in the Ethiopian army makes in a month and half.
The Woyane clique no longer denies the genocidal events reported from Ogaden. Instead, it, the clique, now blames all genocidal events that are reported from Ogaden on this new militia even though according to article 3 sections b, c, and e of the United Nations Charter on the Crime of Genocide make it clear that the Woyane leaders including Meles Zenawi are equally, if not more, gullible and responsible as their newly recruited band of thugs that abduct, rape, maim and extra judicially kill innocent Ogaden victims.
It was quite instructive then that when the Reuters news agency inquired about the abduction and coldblooded killings of two dozen civilians in the city of Qabri Dahar earlier this week, one Mr. Shimelis Kemal - a spokesman for the Woyane regime- did not deny that such a genocide event took place.
Instead he claimed that "The Ethiopian army was not even involved, and this cannot be considered as ethnic cleansing." He continued to postulate that "It was a measure taken by [Liyu] police against terrorist activities."
In the past, the Woyane regime did its best to deny any report of genocide in Ogaden. Now that the truth of the genocidal abductions, gruesome killings, and mass rape of innocent Ogaden civilians are out for the world to hear, see and know about, the regime is doing its best to fault the band thugs they created as being the sole perpetrators of these gruesome events.
What Zenawi and his ilk do not realize is that the Ogaden genocide puck stops at their feet regardless of who they may blame for such gruesome events. Zenawi must also realize that no matter how long it takes, he will one day be brought to court to answer to the Ogaden genocide.
We, the Ogaden Editorial Board (EOB), inherently believe the date when the Woyane clique and its leader Mr. Zenawi would be brought to the international criminal court of justice in The Hague is not far.
However, to bring it even closer, we would like to ask the direct relatives of the Ogaden genocide victims to come forward and forcefully campaign in publicizing the agony and the cries of the victims of Zenawi's genocide in Ogaden.
