In just a little over 24 hours, Eritrea will celebrate another birthday.
Considering Eritrea's history and the heavy price it paid to achieve its independence, each birthday brings a week-long celebration and festivities.
It's quite a story and it drives Eritrea's foes bonkers. Try as they might, they haven't managed to sap Eritrea's will to survive, nor its capacity to thrive.
On the eve of its 20th birthday, Eritrea remains a Work In Progress but busily engaged in building a better future for its citizens through sweat equity -- brick by brick and tired hands by tired hands!
Through courage, inspiration, sacrifice and hard work, and in defiance of all odds, Eritreans have achieved a great deal in the past 20 years. Again, the work is unfinished and the challenges are many. But in 20 short years, Eritreans have proved to the world that ERITREA IS INDEED A MIRACLE LAND!!!
