Petros back to back victory at the Junior Olympics in Greensboro NC
Petros Welday of Maryland won Silver medal on Thursday in the 5000m final of the US Junior Olympics by finishing second with a time of 15:27:19. That is about half of a second behind the winner, Alfredo Santana.
With no day of recovery, Petros run the preliminary heat of the 1500m on Friday finishing 2nd with a time of 4:04.98; which is again 0.6 of a second behind the winner. With this place and time Petros is qualified to the finals.
Petros is due to run the final heat of the 1500m on Sunday before he heads back to home/ Maryland.
EAAA members are expressing their proud moments and are congratulating Petros for his victories.
We wish Petros a success on his final heat of 1500m.
