Dear Dehayers,
Today, we have read in Eritreacompass.com about Semhar Beyene who had a cochlea implant as a result of early childhood hearing loss. We, the members of the International Association of the Deaf Eritreans based in Atlanta, Georgia are curious about this development from the vantage point of her person as a hearing impaired Eritrean. Currently, we are trying to locate the deaf Eritreans in the Diaspora. There are about twenty deaf Eritreans in the States some of whom are highly educated or with family responsibility. We would like to contact Semhar in an effort to introduce her to our organization whose members are active wherever they may be.
