Eritrea’s New Front with Shifta’s Outlook
Traditionally, the Eritrean people are capable of influencing friends and
neighbors. Like wise, Eritrean friends and neighbors have significant
impact on Eritrean, political and economic lives. To illustrate a point
consider relevant Arabic proverb that says “known Satan is preferred over
strange & unknown Saint”. For purposes of expanding the discussion, lets
consider Shaebia.org Satan, and Eritrea1.org, newly launched sites a
strange Saint.
It appears that Eritrea1.org founders are prominent former PFDJ/EPLF
cadres. They appear to include the former Ambassador who defected after
spending more than 25 years of her life serving PFDJ/EPLF. Eritrea1.org
founders seem to be very familiar the guiding principles that enabled
Eritrea to gain its Independence which was the same guiding principles that
planned and executed the Eritrean Referendum whereby the Eritrean people
overwhelmingly voted for sovereign Eritrean State.
The naked truth is that PFDJ is an imperfect organization, with its
challenges like any organization in the world. It appears that PFDJ has
working rules to dig over its bad apples. Its rules are subject to
amendments and improvements by its members. PFDJ leaders claim that they
are doing their level best, even though not good enough for Eritrea1.org
founders, to becoming a genuine entity dedicated to serving the needs of
the masses. On the contrary, Eritrea1.org operators seems to have a
propensity to harm, and offend non Tigrigna speaking Eritrean masses
because Eritrea1.org deliberately ignored Arabic, Eritrea’s co-official
language.
PFDJ/EPLF has a proven history of mobilizing the masses at home and abroad,
with all-inclusive policy. Men and women of all nationalities have equal
access. The most compelling challenge facing PFJD seems to be its
incompetent administrators, coupled with the defections of its senior
cadres thereby polarizing the masses. Contrary to Eritrea1.org claim, PFDJ
defections seem a traditional shifta approach. Disillusioned former
PFDJ/EPLF cadres, far a way form the suffering masses, are promising
Ertirean masses a pie in the sky. Intangible promises form self-claimed
oppositions leaders like the former Ambassador is meaningless to Hafash
Eritrea, and in the long term, Eritrea’s history books will characterized
it as shameful act (Hifret) of Shifta Eritrea.
An alternative to PFDJ and any challenging political party must have
credible founding members combined with truthfulness of remedies to become
worthy of voters considerations including myself. Unquestionably,
Eritrea1.org is a mirror image of the Berlin Manifesto. The G-13 failed to
persuade Hafash Eritrea like me. It made no impact on Hafash Eritrea
because of ill conceived errantly disseminated Berlin Manifesto. Hence,
Eritrea1.org is destined to become Berlin Manifesto II.
Apparently, likeG-13 founders have become the Eritrea1.org initiator. Like
the G-13, individuals or organizations with foreign interest connections
are likely subsidizing Eritrea1.org. As the Arabic proverb goes, Eritrea is
better off with its imperfect Satan PFDJ (Shaebia.org) over unknown foreign
subsidized Eritrea1.org, an organization that has not earned basic respect
by working for and on behalf of the masses in the healing land of Eritrea.
If the Eritrea1.org architects have the moral fiber with a genuine intent
to resolve Eritrea’s political problems, then, they would have declared
their intentions in Arabic, Tigrigna from Eritrea not from a foreign state
like Virginia. This appears a classic case of a political party in exile,
with financial assistance of foreign subsidized-web site designed towards
intimidating PFDJ/GOE just as Dagmawi did during Woyane aggressions.
The Eritrean masses have more than enough of destructive and divisive
proclamations. The Eritrea1.org creators, if indeed, they are indigenous,
naturalized and concerned Eritreans, then, they have the duty to promote
durable peace and stability in Eritrea. Bereket’s introductory statement
did not convince indigenous Eritreans like me. It stopped short of spelling
out Eritrea1.org’s plat form vis-à-vis the GOE’s proposed solutions to
Eritrea’s existing problems. He failed to bring about the fact that Eritrea
fought the longest struggle to gain its independence and in the past three
years defended the bloodiest war in the world, and that the GOE has
declared public election in December 2001, and to the extent possible, GOE
is making a good faith efforts with due diligences to resolving Eritrea’s
problems.
It would seem, the Eritrean current leadership is capable of resolving
Eritrea’s problems without any direct or indirect involvements from any
foreign interest groups. Majority Eritreans realize that the country faces
compelling challenges stemmed from the senseless war, then again, Eritrea’s
crises at hand should be given priorities. Frankly, Bereket’s Constitution
of 1997, is rather obsolete. It must be updated following December’s
election. The Eritrean masses are confident that
their-next-elected-officials are capable of amending the Constititutions,
in due course, for subsequent elections as mandated by Eritrea’s working
Constitution.
