Eritrean voices come from Asmara, where Senator Hillary Clinton together
with her daughter shared the Eritrean thoughts. From Washington DC to
Stanford University, where the UN Secretary General along with thousands of
students, parents, and guests witnessed a peace full demonstration, by
Eritrean-Americans, during those darkest days of Eritrea and its people.
v Like the world community, Eritreans are profoundly moved by the
will of the American people to cope with pain resulting from the heinous
act of terrorist on America of September 2001.
v Grief has not boundaries. Pain, indiscriminately, invades the human
spirit, regardless of wealth, mental equilibrium, illiteracy or
advanced-know-how. Grief overpowers on those who have nothing to do with
the events that distressed the masses, including citizens of the super power.
v 11 September 2001 provoked a new war, by unidentified invader on
peace-loving-innocent masses, and the day's human casualties, and property
damages are beyond ones comprehensions.
v The heinous act of 11 September 2001, is depressing as the
perpetrators crossed the lines of any religious crusades, or conventional
armed struggles amongst adversaries.
v On 11 September 2001, individuals executed malicious act with
motives only known to them. They did not represent any legitimate
organization, or country, although the US government alleges that the
deadly act is linked to a bunch of criminals including Bin Laden & Al-Qaeda.
v Eritreans feel global crime watch is reciprocal. All nations must
cooperate in order to curb and restrict potential evil acts by any
terrorists such as any remnants of such terrorists or breeds of their
values, scattered worldwide, with professions ranging from
illiterate-taxi-driver to pilots, and computer specialists.
v Eritreans believe that resolute human intelligence on the ground is
more effective than any high technology cruise missile on the air when
combating any enemies or terrorists of undefined boundaries.
v Eritreans feel that hate-drive application of any military powers,
with worldly appearance of act of revenge, will not bring any those who
perished on 11 September 2001, nor will it shake off the immense pains that
the American people are enduring.
v Eritreans say that wise leadership blended with shrewd use of
modern technologies can bring terrorism under control. Like DNA that
exonerates innocent people, while identifying real criminal, America must
use effective techniques to persecute these criminals, without inflicting
sufferings on innocent civilians.
v As Americans provided Eritreans with humanitarian and moral
supports, the Eritrean people are giving back with their moral support to
the American people. In addition, many members of the Eritrean-American
community are giving blood and others are volunteering for the Red Cross
for a range of tasks.

Like the world masses, Eritreans trust and believe that the American
Government will use its might wisely while at the same time, taking a
responsible course of action towards weeding out the terrorists from the
world including American soils. Eritreans share prevailing world views that
misapplications of America's power or its best know how is likely to make
this new war a repeat of America's drug war.
