Tour Eritrea Final concludes with triumph of Eritrean Merhawi
Asmara, 22 February 2013 Tour Eritrea Final, which was conducted today
from Keren to Asmara involving 91 Km. has concluded with triumph of
Eritrean Merhawi Kudus, who recently kept a new record in Tour Gabon as the
first African to win an uphill competition.
Merhawi reached the final line preceding Eritreans Meron Amanuel, Meron
Teshome, Tesfom Ogbamariam and Awet Gebremedhin who ranked 2nd to 5th
consecutively. Moreover, Algerian Ezedin Lagat, who demonstrated strong
competitiveness with Eritrean cyclists throughout the Tour, won the 6th
rank lagging behind Merhawi by 9 seconds, reports indicated.
Moreover, the Tournament embraced two altitude competitions along Digdigta
and Adekolom areas in which the National Cycling Team fully dominated the
first three ranks.
Eritrean Mekseb Debesai won the Tour's trophy, while Eritrean Bereket
Yemane is the one awarded for outstanding performance in uphill
competitions.

Asmara, 19 February 2013 - Reports indicated that Eritrean cyclists
registered a sparkling triumph in Tour Eritrea 2013 which began today in
Mendefera and winded up in Keren involving 152 Km. Accordingly,
Eritrean cyclists Meron Teshome and Meron Amanuel seized the first and
second ranks, while Algerian Ezedin Lagat stood third, and Eritrean Bereket
Yemane ranked second in uphill racing.
The second and third competitions would take place along Keren-Barentu and
Tessenei-Agordat routes, as the final tournament would proceed from Keren
to Asmara.

Triumph of Eritrean cyclists remains intact in second tournament of Tour
Eritrea Asmara, 20 February 2013 - Eritrean cyclists have kept their
triumph in the second tournament of Tour Eritrea that was conducted today
along Keren-Barentu route involving 140 Km. Eritrean cyclists Tesfai
Abraha, Mekseb Debesai and Merhawi Kudus won the first three ranks,
according to reports. The third competition of the Tour is due to take
place tomorrow from Tesenei to Agordat cities, while the fourth and final
tournament would be conducted on the 22nd along Keren-Asmara route.

Tournament conducted along Alebu-Agordat route Asmara, 21 February 2013 -
The Third Tour Eritrea Tournament was today conducted along Alebu-Agordat
route involving 155 Km. Representing the GSP cycling club, Algerian
Abdulbasit Hanachi stood first preceding Eritreans Meron Teshome, Meron
Amanuel, Mekseb Debesai and Daniel Teklai who seized the 2nd to 5th ranks
consecutively. Furthermore, Eritreans Bereket Yemane, Tesfom Ogbamariam and
Awet Gebremedhin won the first three ranks in an up-hill racing at the 58th
Km. of the tournament, thus giving rise to the National Team's outstanding
performance.
