It is a "Reading Month" now in our home, sweet home: Eritrea. Hundreds of new books are now in display at Asmara Expo. In this information age, the culture of reading is indispensable in a new Eritrea. In the words of Sages:-
Reading makes a full man
Thinking makes a wise man
Appointment makes a ready man.
The habit of reading never dies out, and it can be instilled from early on in the growing children by parents. For they are objective by nature, they do, not what we say, but what we do. I mean we cultivate the culture of reading by example.

In a book you dare to open
Excitement you will find,
Brought to life by a clever person
Who has an extraordinary mind.
With images presented inside
Forming others in your brain,
Off your imagination goes
On an unknown street or plain.
When you read the words aloud
The magic comes to life,
Ending happily or sadly
Or sometimes in deep strife.
A big thank you to those
Who love to write and draw,
Teaching children good and bad
So afterwards they just want more.
