Johnnes Kolmedin's unpublished manuscripts including child-birth songs, war chants (Chefera), ballads (derftat), elegies in honor of countless notables of pre-colonial Eritrea is now ready for public reading. Professor Kolmedin was a polyglot and Orientalist who authored the history of Tseazega and Hazega which were seats of power before the advent of Italian colonialism. The chief as seen in a book cover is Degiat Kafil who was a son-in-law of Raesi Woldenkiel Solomon, the last ruler of Mereb Milash, the present-day Eritrea. However, not much research has been done concerning his tragic life.
The price of the book including postage and handling is $12.00 in USA and $18.00 for other countries. It is a limited edition book available for collectors and students of Eritrean history as well. It can be ordered by writing to the following address:-
