Eritrean community members in Western Canada express readiness to back
national development drive
Eritrean community members in western Canada. Vancouver, Regina, Saskatoon,
Edmonton, Calgary and its environs have expressed readiness to back the
national development drive. They made the pledge at a meeting conducted
yesterday in Vancouver, and throughout this month in those different City,
during which they lauded the development accomplishments being registered
in the beloved Motherland despite the continued external conspiracies
against the nation.
The nationals further indicated that that they would support government
endeavors towards promoting economic investment, besides enhancing their
role in State affairs.
Speaking on the occasion, Mr. Semere Gebremariam from Consulate General of
the State of Eritrea, gave elaborate briefings regarding the nation’s
development pace in respect of the economic policies charted and
participation of nationals in investment. Moreover, he called on the
nationals to enhance their staunch resistance against anti-Eritrea agendas

out that the conspiracies targeting the nation are enduring and
characterized with form change, and that they all ended up in ignominy
thanks to the prevailing spirit of resistance and unity on the part of the
Eritrean people. He further revealed that the priority of the Eritrean
government at present is ensuring reasonable benefit of the citizenry from
the Homeland’s resources vis-à-vis the efforts being exerted towards
registering economic development.
