Al-Qirbi returns home coming from Asmara

SANA’A, May 31 (Saba)- Foreign Minister Abu Bakr al-Qirbi has returned to Sana’a coming from Eritrea after a few-hour official visit, in which he handed over a letter from President Abdo Rabbo Mansour Hadi to Eritrean President Isaias Afwerki.
Speaking to Saba, al-Qirbi said that he had met president Afwerki and handed over him the letter, adding it included bilateral cooperation relations between the two countries and ways of enhancing them.
“During the meeting with Afwerki in Asmara, we addressed a number of issues, including economy, investment and sea fishing”, he pointed out, adding they had agreed the need to organize the fishing process between the two countries in addition to the two countries’ joint efforts to strengthen security cooperation in the fight against terrorism, piracy and smuggling.
In addition, al-Qirbi said that the Eritrean president expressed his country's keenness to consolidate cooperation relations with Yemen, expressing greetings to President Hadi.
