Antonella Dilorenzo

Maybe her name will seem common, but not her voice. Senit is a Bolognese singer of Eritrean origin with a career of music and theater and behind a mess that has led today to be the musical voice of Sunday Live , The program hosted by Barbara D'Urso .
Born in 1979, Senit has trod various stages in Italy and especially abroad. She made her debut with the musical ( The Lion King , Hair, Fame) and continues her profession between live and competitions: she has performed in prestigious American clubs in Las Vegas, Los Angeles and New York, she was the voice representing the Republic of San Marino Eurovision Song Contest 2011, has ffiancato the greats such as Giorgia and Laura Pausini in concert 2009 "Friends for Abruzzo" and today continues to gain visibility on the stage of Channel 5. That's who Senit and what she told us about her music projects both Italian and foreign.
How did the collaboration with Domenica Live?
I wanted to return to Italy after a while 'time abroad and so, after the Italian tour (3 All on tour, ed) that he played a leading role in this summer around the peninsula with the singers of The Voice, I was given this opportunity, to be the musical guest at the program Barbara. So, here I am every Sunday on Channel 5.
What is the musical genre that interests you the most and propose on which you work?
A single will be released later this year in Italian and then translated into other languages, and will typically be the one that I prefer pop or rock, catchy, feisty, fun.
You've performed in some clubs in New York, Las Vegas, Los Angeles, where you have a full house. In Italy it ever happened? If not, what explanation did you date?
v
No, maybe I was not ready, or the Italian market was not ready. I wanted to test me out abroad and so I did before with the musical and then with the music and I actually got better. Perhaps coincidentally (or simply ass ....) I do not ask myself too many questions about. Now I'm here and happy to be in Italy, but but always with an open mind.
What do you like Italian music and what artists do you prefer?
The Italian I've always loved music as well as the country where I was born. I love the melodic ballad of the Stadium, the rock of Vasco, the words of Lorenzo Jovanotti and the poetry of Niccolo Fabi.
v
In Italy, according to you, the talent remains the only direct way to success, or are a deterrent?
The talent, especially in Italy initially gave a big hand to the Italian music market. Given the death of the record certainly with the talent there has been a rebirth, but lately is a bit 'abused as formula. I preferred when the band were performing on the street or you discovered the talent in a social center. Now all messed up too ... fake.
Italy is a country that allows you to live-only music?
In my case, yes. If you have lots and lots of perseverance and determination then you can live with music, now recently with the sale of records, but a bit 'better to live with, but it takes lots and lots of patience and nerve!
You have represented the Republic of San Marino in the Eurovision Song Contest 2011. What was that experience and has been a springboard for your career?
The Eurovision Song Contest was definitely a super mega-level human and artistic experience to be redone: a thousand cultures, races, languages and then stage a fantastic and very organized, little valued in Italy ... unfortunately.
What do you miss to achieve in your career? Are you satisfied with that?
In my career I've already done a lot of things: the theater (musicals), then the only music where I met extraordinary people, so I can feel more than satisfied, but I still want to give through music and then who knows the theater again and why not cinema.
Who dreams of singing a duet with and why?
I'd love to duet with a rapper or an Italian opera. Too huh?
Write and compose your songs?
I am an 'interpreter even though I work with a lot of authors and composers. As soon as I get the vein to author will be the first site to which I will write.
What does it represent for you Gaetano Curreri with which you've got to work with?
Gaetano Curreri in music, as well as Massimo Ranieri in the theater, two figures have been truly phenomenal artistic level as a school, but also on a human level: humble, serious and very very smart.
Will you attend the Festival of Sanremo?
At the Festival of Sanremo I'd love to participate, remains the only Italian music festival most seen and followed both in Italy and abroad. Then I'd be curious to see the expression of my loved ones to see me up there on that stage.
Have you ever thought about moving to Eritrea and do there music?
A few years ago in Eritrea I did a mini two-week tour around the host country of an organization that did benefit concerts for the nation. It 'was a wonderful and magical, and although you love the sounds as well as colors and smells of my country of origin, I prefer a different kind of music, but never say never.
Your future projects?
I'm working on a new single that will be released in Italy (in Italian, but then also translated into other languages) in the short and then after that we will promote, concerts. In the meantime, I enjoy the view through Channel 5 and Sunday Live.(Software translation)
