Brisbane cafe helps support African refugees
15 April 2014 , 11:47 AM by Gabrielle Burke
Many African women who have come to Australia as refugees have experienced major trauma, and now have to negotiate an entirely different culture and society, usually with limited education and English.
One woman from Eritrea, a small African country, has opened up a not-for-profit restaurant in West End, that employs women who are refugees, to give them an income and on the job training.
The results have been remarkable, as Miriam Hall reports.
