WASHINGTON - Secretary of State John Kerry is headed to sub-Saharan Africa
next week to talk about trade, democracy and human rights.
State Department spokeswoman Jen Psaki says Kerry also is planning to
discuss U.S. investments in programs for AIDS relief while travelling to
Ethiopia, Congo and Angola.
In the Ethiopian capital of Addis Ababa, Kerry will attend a fourth round
of high-level talks between the U.S. and the African Union to foster
security and democracy in the region.
He will also discuss efforts to defeat or neutralize armed groups in Congo
and push for stability in Angola.
Kerry is travelling from April 29 to May 5.
