Eritrean Community Members in Italy Assert Readiness to Mark 40th Bologna
Festival Anniversary With Enthusiasm

Asmara — The Eritrean community members in Italy have asserted readiness to
back up endeavors for the effective organization of the 40th Anniversary of
Bologna Festival due to be conducted from 4 to 6 July, under the theme
"Bologna Festival: A Legacy of Determination and Inspiring Memories ."
They made the pledge at a meeting conducted last weekend in which
representatives of youths from various cities of the country and residents
of the city took part.
Speaking on the occasion, Mr. Russom Gebregergish, Eritrean Consul in Milan
city, expressed appreciation for the nationals who made significant input
in organizing the event.
Likewise, Mr. Yemane Haile, Chairman of the Eritrean community in Bologna
city, pointed out that intensive endeavors are being made to mark the event
in a highly organized manner. He further stated that the preparations are
being finalized through the collaboration among nationals residing in
Europe as a whole.
Mr. Yared Tesfay, Mr. Tedros Goitom and Mr. Sirak Bahlbi, members of the
Coordinating Committee of the Festival, gave briefings highlighting the
objectives and programs of the event. Besides, they noted the vitality of
the event vis-à-vis nurturing cultural values among the nation's young
generation.
Mr. Girmai Hailemichael, Head of Public and Community Affairs in the
Eritrean embassy in Italy, recalled that the Bologna festivities witnessed
active youth participation and expressed conviction that they would keep
intact such a stance.
