Misdemeanor
perpetrated against Eritrea through unjust UN Sanctions by Ethiopian regime
and co-conspirators unraveled, causes worries
Asmara, 16 March 2014 - The misdemeanor perpetrated against Eritrea on the
basis of unjust UN sanctions by the Ethiopian regime and co-conspirators
has been unraveled, and thus has caused worries on the part of all its
authors.

In a circular message and work directives it sent to all its diplomatic
missions abroad by the end of the last month, the Ethiopian Foreign
Ministry disclosed its threats in connection with the fruitfulness of the
diplomatic engagements Eritrea has been making with various countries with
a view to putting an end to the unjust UN sanction resolutions. In this
connection, the office urged its diplomatic representatives to exert
efforts in a bid to laying groundwork for practicality of the unjust UN
sanction resolutions.

According to the classified documents, the targeted Eritrean diplomatic
exercises are related to recent visits of President Isaias Afwerki to Kenya
and the Republic of Sudan, visit of heads of various UN bodies to Asmara,
Higher Eritrean Envoy's visit to Paris and its meeting with Monitoring
Group as well as the Resolutions Committee, besides the support Eritrea
drew in the UPR Meeting in Geneva. To this end, the Ethiopian regime
underlined the grave consequences it may face in view of the fact that the
negative attitude on the unjust UN resolutions against Eritrea is growing,
and that it would thus give Eritrea a favorable condition.

Although it is not a new phenomenon that the unjust UN Sanction Resolutions
No.1907 and 2023 are authored by the US, the classified documents have
asserted this fact. In conclusion, the diplomatic correspondence of the
Ethiopian Foreign Ministry highlighted that the Anti-Eritrea sanction
resolutions could not be lifted as long as the United Stated, who still
holds the 'pencil' of their engineering, did not change its stance on
Eritrea. In this vein, the document points out that stepped-up endeavor
should be put up to prevent futility of the unjust sanctions.

The Eritrean Ministry of Information indicates that it would disseminate
the documents as they are through the national media outlets.
