Ethiopia fingers Eritrea in S/Sudan Conflict

The Ethiopian government has accused Eritrea of involvement in the South
Sudan conflict, saying it has circumstantial evidence to back the claims.
Foreign Ministry spokesperson, Dina Mufti told journalists in Addis Ababa
on Monday that Ethiopia can prove Eritrean involvement in the between the
South Sudanese government and the opposition SPLM/A.
According to him, Eritrea's involvement in regional conflicts and crises is
not a new phenomenon as there are tangible proofs which point to
culpability by Asmara in aggravating conflicts in the region including the
one in Somalia.
He accused the Eritrean government of going on a campaign of regional
destabilization to gain some hegemony in the area.
Eritrea has not responded to the allegations.
Mufti, however, gave Ethiopia's assurance that the South Sudanese conflict
would soon be over thanks to the IGAD mediated negotiations which entered
their second phase and are yielding some positive results.
