Tewedros Z. Ghebresselasie, 57, of Harrisburg, a native of Afelba, Eritrea,
entered eternal life April 27, 2014. He was preceded in death by his
mother, Gimja Kasa, and brother Asgodom.
Educated in Asmara, Eritrea, he was a prosecutor from 1983 to 1996, a
professional soccer player and a member of St. Mary Eritrean Orthodox
Church. In 1996, he moved to the United States with his family. He served
as a board member of the Harrisburg Eritrean Community and was employed by
Patton Wall Décor, Mechanicsburg.
Surviving are his wife, Zegeweini Mebrahtu; 5 children, Yordanos, Daniel,
Ariam, Biniam and Liya Zenaghebriel; his father, Zenaghebriel
Ghebresselasie; 5 siblings, Keflemariam, Nigiste, Feshaye, Issak and
Semeret; 2 grandchildren and 1 God-child.
Funeral service will be held from 9 to 11 a.m., Saturday, May 3rd, at St.
Mark Coptic Orthodox Church, 1701 State Street, Harrisburg, with family
visitation beginning at 11 a.m. Mr. Ghebresselasie will be interred in
Asmara, Eritrea. Professional services entrusted to Wallace Funeral
