Asmara, 26 August 2015- Mr. Woldemicael Abraha, Minister of Local Government, urged district administrators to exert constant efforts for nurturing the culture of work.
The Minister made the observation at a briefing for sub-zone administrators, work managers and agricultural experts in the Northern Red Sea region who completed two-weeks training on strengthening administrative capacity in Dongolo from the 13 to 25th of August this month.
The short training was focused on dissemination of timely information for effective decision making and on tools of monitoring and supervision for the proper implementation of development programmes.
In his concluding remarks, Mr. Woldemicael stressed that tangible developments achieved in various areas in the Region, as well as the equitable distribution of social services rendered, attest to the administrative capacity built over the years. Still, it is incumbent on administrators to turn any challenges into opportunities to consolidate the progress made so far, Minister Woldemicael underlined.
Ms. Tsegereda Woldegergis, Administrator of the Northern Red Sea region, on her part stated that the training program will further enhance the effective implementation of ongoing development programs, strengthen organizational and administrative capacity and thereby contribute towards better delivery of social justice in the Region.
