Meydan Dubai

The first worldwide meeting, Red Sea Oil & Gas Summit will inaugurate
next week at the Meydan Hotel in Dubai, on 23rd-24th February with the
Chairman of Ganoub El-Wadi Petroleum Holding Company Egypt (Ganope)
being the latest addition to the outstanding speaking faculty.
The Summit is organised by IRN and officially endorsed by the Ministry
of Energy and Mineral Resources of Jordan, the Ministry of Petroleum
and Mineral Resources of Somalia and the Ministry of Energy and Mines
of Eritrea. Senior Government Officials from the above-mentioned
Ministries along with a senior official from the Yemen Oil & Gas
Corporation will present the current situation in their countries and
future opportunities for oil companies, including the unconventionals
sector of Jordan.
The Chairman of GANOPE, Abubakr Ibrahim will present on the company's
future plans in the Red Sea and the Upper Egypt. The General Manager
of GPC Egypt, Dr Tarek Hamed, will address how to form a petroleum
system in the Red Sea region of the Gulf of Suez, based on the geology
of the area. Furthermore, the Vice President of Oyster Oil & Gas,
Colin Wilson will share his experience operating in Djibouti.
Other highlights of the two-day agenda include a panel discussion on
how the Governments' plan to facilitate investments in the Red Sea
countries, and a session that will give delegates an enhanced
interpretation of the new exploration testing in the high-potential
sea.
Amongst the delegation will be senior executives from Eni E&P, Kuwait
Energy, RWE Dea, KUFPEC, TransGlobe Egypt, Kuwait Petroleum
Corporation, Hunt Oil, ION Geophysical, Greensand Exploration and
others. The Society of Exploration Geophysics, the Middle East
Association, the international gas association Cedigaz and the Society
for Gas as a Marine Fuel are supporters of this high profile forum.
