This paper discusses 1) the geopolitical factors that led to Saudi Arabia's intervention in Yemen in March 2015, and 2) the possible consequences of the intervention for Northeast Africa. In the last case, the growing internationalization of the war and Riyadh's growing rapprochement with the likes of Qatar might provide opportunities for conflict resolution in Libya.
