Three asylum seekers expelled for rape in Hjørring
It costs three men imprisonment of up to two years and expulsion of raping a woman in turn.
Hjørring: Three asylum seekers from Eritrea Monday convicted of taking turns raping a female compatriot in connection with a party in October last year.
Court of Hjørring convicts two of the men in prison for a year and nine months, while the third should be in prison for two years. All three exhibited by Denmark forever.
On the evening of the crime the woman had partied with the three men in Hjørring, but at some point she went into a room in one of the defendant's apartment to sleep.
She woke up when one of the defendants was in the process of complete sexual intercourse with her. When he finished, another came into the room, and so it continued.
The men, however, claims that the woman voluntarily agreed to have sex.
- This is one company against another, said one of the accused's defenders, Jens Christian Christensen.
The victim had according to a study no indication that there would be going on something violent.
But according to prosecutor Torben Kauffmann Sørensen is no need for violence before there is a rape.
- It is also violence and a threat to put it on a woman, so she can not move, and to use his physique and the fact that one is bigger and stronger, he said.
The 25-year-old woman says that she was unable to resist.
- I was scared and in shock and did not expect it, because we had earlier in the evening had a good time, she explained Monday morning.
As the last before the judgment chose one of the defendants to use the opportunity to express themselves.
- A woman I barely know, settles into my bed for sleeping. Why does she do that if she does not want to be with me?
But the logic of the court can not follow. By judgment explains the President shall order that has been placed on the woman's explanation.
The three men must also pay damages of 80,000 to the woman.
They all chose to appeal on the ground.
