Asmara, 10 February 2016 - According to the Ministry of Labour and Human Welfare, Eritreans residing in Israel, the U.S., and Italy contributed a total of $US315, 411 and 2,420 euros to augment the martyrs’ trust fund.
Specifically, the Eritrean community in Israel contributed $US 200,000, while the Committee for Martyrs’ Family Care in Washington, the Martyrs’ Family Care Group in Portland, the Festival Committee in Philadelphia, NUEW’s branches in Hampton Rod and Seattle, the Eritrean community in Baltimore, the Los Angeles Committee No. 2, as well as several Eritrean citizens residing in the U.S. collectively contributed a total of $US7 2,075.
Additionally, the Holiday Committees in Boston, Minista, Santiago, New Orleans, Harrisburg, Atlanta, and San Jose donated $US 37,236, Eritrean communities in Dallas and Fort Worth donated $US5,200, and the Eritrean community in Warrington-Minnesota donated $US900.
Likewise, 10 Eritrean citizens residing in Perima Port, Rome, Italy contributed 2,420 Euros for the same cause.
