Our relations with Africa are “powerful and historic”: Egypt’s Sisi

Egypt’s President Abdel Fattah al-Sisi said Monday his country’s relations with the African continent is “historical and powerful”, stressing Egypt was seeking to return to play a key role in the joint African action, the Daily Shorouk newspaper reported.
This came in an interview he made with the "Jeune Afrique Magazine" that is specialized on the African Affairs ahead of the forthcoming Africa Investment Forum due to be held in Sharm El-Sheikh on Feb. 20-21.
The magazine’s Monday’s issue carried a cover image of al-Sisi under the title “The fate of the world settled in Egypt ", adding the president addressed many issues including terrorism and the situation in Libya and Syria.
During the interview, al-Sisi pointed to the signing of a free trade zone establishment in June 2015 and the Africa 2016 forum in the Red Sea resort of Sharm El-Sheikh to enhance cooperation and exchanges with the brothers in Africa.
