The inteligence source piece was written by yours truely a coupke years ago. I would like my esteemed Ethiopian review followers to compare and contrast what topics were discussed by tplf executives a couple years ago. And, Samora's assessment of Eritrean Army then and the outcome of the June 12, 2016 engagement and its silencing impact on Tplf military machine. Also compare what was discussed then and Abay Tsehaye's statement that tplf will not go for an all out war with Eritrea and he blamed those agitating for an all out war are people who wouldnot endanger their lives or their loved ones. read below!

The TPLF politburo members don't see eye to eye when it comes to launching war against Eritrea. In their recent meeting, the majority of the leadership opposed the proposed war against Eritrea at this time due to the front's nose diving popularity at home and abroad.
The principal proponents of launching war against Eritrea are Bereket Simon and Birhane GebreKristos, while Sebhat Nega insisted that a war with Eritrea is suicidal and he suspects that those who are promoting the idea could have ulterior motives with intent of destroying TPLF.
The proposed war is already creating wedge among top TPLF leadership -- reminder of the previous war with Eritrea that almost brought TPLF to a brink of collapse.
Sebhat said war with Eritrea would have similar effect that of proverbial Ethiopian woman who stretched to reach the item on top of the shelf while letting lose what was in firm grasp in her armpit. Aboy Sebhat and his followers insisted that TPLF should concentrate more on handling internal decent than trying to externalize it's problems.
General Samora gave the leadership his assessment of the status of Eritrean army and he emphasized that despite the flow of many young conscripts to neighboring countries, Eritrean army still kept it's composure and it could wage credible challenge for prolonged period of time.
On contrary, Samora told his comrades that his army is suffering from low moral and it is also becoming victim of propaganda war waged by G7 and Oromo opposition groups. And, he concluded that a war with Eritrea at this juncture in the history of TPLF would be disastrous.
