Shabait.com: Eritrean community in Germany

Asmara, 14 April 2016- The Eritrean National Council founding conference was held on 9 April in Frankfurt under the theme “Strong Organization for Resistance and Development”. The congress was attended by Eritrean community representatives from 27 cities in Germany, religious leaders and invited guests.

At the event the Eritrean Charge d’Affairs Mr. Yohannes Woldu congratulated the community members for realizing the council that they have been working on for the last two years.

Mr. Kahsai Tewolde from the Public and Community affairs explained on the significance of the council in creating strong Eritrean community in Germany.

Dr. Gideon Abay gave extensive briefing on the importance of Eritrean National Council by sighting the experience from the Northern America. He also said that the Eritrean National Council holds global nature and that it is expected to strengthen the national identity and capacity of the nationals and encourage them to play due part in the national development programs.

The participants elected 9 executive and 3 supervision members
