Montreal, QC 3rd of April 2016 – The national Union of Eritrean Women
(NUEW) branch in Quebec conducted an assessment meeting and held a congress
on April 3rd in the city of Montreal.
The chairperson of the NUEW branch, Mrs. Alem Abbay, gave a report on the
work and future mission accomplishment in regards to the organizational
vitality and public advocacy campaigns. The chairwoman underlined the
significance highlight to strengthen the contribution of members in the
nation building process.
Further, the branch of the National Union of Eritrean Women (NUEW) in
Montreal city held congress and presented a report on work accomplishments
during the congress. In the meantime, Mrs. Alem noted the impressive role
Eritrean women are playing in the communities and State affairs.
Moreover, the chairperson also called on the meeting participants to exert
sustained effort to promote the organizational capacity of the young
generation’s involvement.
Members of the NUEW branch on their part expressed readiness to make
due contributions to further the implementation of agreed upon the action
plans.
