Asmara, 28 April 2016- The Higher Education institutions graduated over 23 thousand students from 2008 up to 2015.
According to the office of the National Commission for Higher Education the students graduated with diploma, first degree, masters as well as MD. 420 graduates were also offered scholarship opportunities abroad.
Currently there are seven colleges providing higher education opportunities in different capacities namely Eritrean Institute of Technology, Hamelmalo College of Agriculture, Asmara College of Science and Health, Asmara Medical School, Massawa Marine College, Halhale College of Accounting and Economics as well as Adi-Keih College of Arts and Social Science. The number of the students’ enrollment over the past eight years has increased from 4 thousand to 14 thousand.
The Commission for Higher Education in a bid to develop the capacity of conducting scientific research in the country and to strengthen foreign relations has established the Eritrean Center of Research and has established relations with 25 Universities.
