Somalia: The Bush Administration First Then the TPLF Will Be Held
Accountable for Crimes against Humanity

The TPLF regime has made a shamefaced retreat from Somalia. The regime's
master, the Bush Administration also went out of the White House yesterday
January 20, 2009.
Due to the Bush Administration's invasion on Somalia, more than 25,000
Somalis lost their lives and further 1.5 million were displaced from their
homes and towns in the past two years. It is not difficult to imagine the
extent of opportunities lost in addition to the overwhelming destruction of
infrastructure and the socio-economic services. All this destruction
notwithstanding, these external forces in their departure have put in place
a time bomb in Somalia by arming and encouraging different warlords.
The subservient TPLF regime failed to mention the destruction and massacre
of the past two years and is now talking as to how the 'mission' in Somalia
was a success. But no fool would expect this regime to talk about the havoc
it wrecked in Somalia; for let alone the massacre of the Somali people whom
the regime considers as enemies, the TPLF did not even talk about the loss
of life and injury sustained by its own troops. However, since the lives of
the Ethiopian people have been reduced to that of mere flies during the
reign of the TPLF regime, families of the soldiers will have to know about
the death of their loved ones either when they stop writing letters or do
not return home.
But one way or another, the TPLF regime will not escape accountability for
its actions. History will hold accountable the Bush Administration first and
then the TPLF regime for the crimes against humanity they committed against
the Somali people.
