Leader of the Revolution, AU Chairman arrives in Eritrean city of
Massawa
Massawa, 06.02.2009 (JANA) The Leader of the Revolution, Chairman of the
African Union, arrived in the Eritrean city of Massawa Friday evening,
in response to an invitation extended by President Isaias Afworki.
The leader was accorded a grand welcoming reception at Massawa
international airport, where President Afworki was at the forefront of
those welcome him.
Also the Mayor of Massawa and senior Eritrean officials took part in the
welcoming reception.
President Afworki accompanied the leader from the airport to his
residence.
The leader departed Ethiopia Friday afternoon, where the Ethiopian Prime
Minister Meles Zenawi was at the forefront of those to bid him farewell.
