The leader announced an initiative to settle border dispute between
Eritrea and Ethiopia

The leader of the Revolution , Chairman of the AU , announced his
initiative after assuming the chairmanship of the AU to settle border
dispute between Eritrea and Ethiopia and to draw the border line by
applying court verdict in this respect based on the AU statute.
The leader , in his statement to Eritrean mass media on Sunday before
leaving Eritrea, made clear that he had a long talks in this respect
with the Prime Minister of Ethiopia, Meles Zenawi in Addis Ababa and
with the Eritrean president , Isaias Afworki during his visit to
Eritrea.
He expressed hope that rivals in Darfur and in Somalia to come to an
agreement and be convinced that force and arms never solve problems
and lead to nowhere The leader pointed out that the role of the AU is
to solve problems among rivals by peaceful means.
On the other hand, the leader underlined the strong cordial relations
between Great Jamahiriya and Eritrea. referring to the possibility of
establishing joint investment project to serve the interest of both
peoples specially that Eritrea is overlooking the Red Sea and is
considered an international tourist resort.

The leader and president , Isaias Afworki wrap up their talks

President, Isaias Afworki of the State of Eritrea visited Sunday
morning the leader of the Revolution , Chairman of the AU, at his
residence in the Eritrean city of Massawa.
The leader and president, Afworki held a meeting during which they
wrapped up their talks that they had begun Saturday evening within the
framework of coordination and consultation between them regarding the
march of the African Union and a number of other African issues.
The leader in the company of president , Afworki received a delegation
of Sheiks of Rashayda Tribes who have renewed their invitation to the
leader to visit these Eritrean tribes.
The leader has expressed his appreciation of this invitation promising
to do so in his next visit to Eritrea.. thanking them for their
hospitality during this visit by allocating one of their tents which
was built at his residence.
The leader concluded his visit to Eritrea before noon on Sunday where
president , Afworki was keen to accompany the leader to Massawa
airport and was at the forefront of those to see him off , in addition
to a number of Eritrean high officials and crowds of Eritrean people.
