President Al-Bashir: Darfur problem created by the West
 
Khartoum, March 1 (SUNA)- President of the Republic Field Marshal Omer
Al-Bashir has reiterated the government's determination to realize peace
and stability allover Sudan, especially in Darfur, pointing to the
efforts of the Government of National Unity to reach a comprehensive
settlement to the issue.
 
Addressing the Forum of Eastern Sudan People at the Friendship Hall in
Khartoum Sunday evening, President Al-Bashir pointed out that Darfur
problem was created by the West and the circles that do not want peace
and stability in Sudan, adding that all these challenges would but make
Sudan more stronger.
 
 The President stressed that the plots Sudan face will but increase the
cohesion and unity of the Sudanese people, pointing out that Sudan will
respond to conspiracies by more development projects.
 
President Al-Bashir hailed the struggle of eastern Sudan people,
wondering where was the international justice concerning Abu Graib
Prison, Gaza, Guantanamou and Afghanistan.
 
Meanwhile, Assistant of the President of the Republic Musa Mohamed Ahmed
affirmed the stand of the people of eastern Sudan beside the President
of the Republic, the symbol of the dignity and sovereignty of the
Sudanese nation, in the face of the allegations of the prosecutor of the
International Criminal Court (ICC), calling on all the Sudanese people
to sent a strong message to the international community that any
decision by the ICC against the symbol of the national sovereignty would
lead to the collapse of the peace agreements and undermine the national
unity and harm stability in the African continent.
 
He pointed out that the forum includes all the political spectrum in
eastern Sudan. President Al-Bashir received a document of allegiance
from the people of eastern Sudan, in the presence of the walis
(governors) of the three states of eastern Sudan, leaders of the native
