Mendefera, 11 March 2010 - President Isaias Afwerki today inspected the
progress of development programs in the Southern region, during which he met
with representatives of the people.

of a visit to Kaqbda Dam in Dubarwa sub-zone constructed by Bidho
Construction Company, the President met with the exemplary farmer, Mr.
Gebremichael Gebremeskel, who has been carrying out impressive soil and
water conservation activities in the area for more than 40 years, and
observed his work achievements. President Isaias asserted that the necessary
support would be provided to him.
Moreover, the President conducted a tour of inspection of agricultural
development activities around Adi-Mengonti, Mendefera sub-zone, which
includes the green animal feed site, a dairy farm and the regional
cooperative animal feed production plant put in place at a cost of 5.5
million Nakfa. He said that the Government would provide the necessary
support to the cooperative taking into consideration the work
accomplishments it is registering.
Likewise, President Isaias inspected modern dairy farm cattle and chicken
breeding center in Kudofelasi on the part of an Eritrean investor, during
which he expressed the Government's readiness to extend due support to
hardworking nationals.
In a meting with representatives of the inhabitants of the Southern region,
the President underlined that irrespective of the wicked anti-Eritrea acts

President Isaias reminded all nationals to further intensify development and

Mai-Nefih, 11 March 2010 - At a seminar conducted at the Eritrean Institute
of Technology in Mai-Nefih yesterday, about 7-thousand students of the
Eritrean Institute of Technology and the College of Arts and Science
expressed readiness to reinforce the national resolute rebuff.
Speaking at the seminar, Mr. Abdalla Jabir, Head of Organizational Affairs
at the PFDJ, pointed out that the unjust US sanctions resolution against
Eritrea is designed to undermine the impressive development achievements
Eritrea has scored on the basis of the self-reliance principle along an
independent path, in addition to being a futile attempt to isolate the
country.
The PFDJ official further explained that US resorted to the shameful
anti-Eritrea conspiracy for the second time following the failure of its
presence and strategy of hegemony in the Horn of Africa. He also underlined
that Eritrea would continue to strive for promoting peace and stability in
the region. Mr. Abdalla went on to indicate that endeavors to strengthen
infrastructure and development programs, as well as raise productivity for
upgrading the peoples' standard of living would be implemented in 2010.
The participants of the seminar put forth views and opinions aimed at
reinforcing the national development drive and the resolute rebuff.
