Eritrean authorities release Yemeni fishermen

Eritrean Authorities set 26 Yemeni fishermen free after the Eritrean
Navy caught them in the last couple of days at the Eritrean Island,
Dafneen, when the detainees were onboard two boats.
The Red Sea Coast Guard said that the 26 fishermen arrived on a Yemeni
fishing boat from al-Hodiedah port.
The Red Sea Coast Guard said that the fisherman's boats and devices were
confiscated by Eritrean Authorities. The maritime authorities in
al-Hodiedah governorate started investigations to understand the
circumstances.
Meanwhile, the Coast Guard for Aden Gulf said that 3 fishermen drowned
off the coast of Ashat in Lahj province. This is the result from a
collision of their boat and another commercial ship. The Aden Gulf Coast
Guard said that the fishing boat was wrecked and the three fishermen out
of four were dead. The fourth survived and rescued by a sudden boat
which happened to come across the accident area. Besides, it pointed out
that the commercial ship is unknown and now they are working on
identifying it.
In another case, reports of security agencies in coastal provinces
clarified that around 900 people among them 222 women and 9 children
from African horn snuck during the first half of March into Yemeni land
through sea. In addition, the security agencies said to Information
Security Media Center that within the African infiltrators who arrived
to Yemen 590 Somali refugees. The Somali refugees have arrived to Thubab
Coasts in Taiz province, Ahwar coast in Abyan province, Broom coast in
Hadramout province and Ruthoom coast in Shabwah province.
For the Ethiopian infiltrators, there were 308 individuals, among them
63 women and 3 children. This is in addition to 2 infiltrators from
South Africa and 3 citizens from Eritrea, Sudan and Djibouti. The Somali
refugees were deported to the camp of refugees in Kharaz, Lahj province,
and other intruders from Africa have been put into custody with the
legal procedures for entry into Yemen illegally.
