The world’s best runners will battle for the 2010 men’s
After
earning his title in Lisbon, Tadese told reporters “I’m in a good
shape. Kilometer after kilometer I achieved more courage and
determination and always believed that I can get the world record.” His
comment on the upcoming London Marathon – “I hope to be in the same
shape and to use the same skills to try for the world record in the
London Marathon.”
The
28-year-old reigning king of Half Marathon is a national hero to
Eritreans and a well-respected athlete to the rest of the world. His
impressive resume speaks louder than any doubts about his potential for
a full-length marathon title.
Fellow Eritrean Yonas Kifle will join Zersenay Tadese on April 25.
According to the Virgin London Marathon, here’s the list of men and women professional athletes who will be competing:
