April, 2010
Dear Supporters:
The Abraham Afewerki Foundation For Music (AAFM) is gearing up for its third
fundraiser to be held on May 01, 2010, at the Capital Hilton in Washington
DC from 8:00 PM to 1:30 AM. This year's gala will feature prominent
Eritrean singer song writers and a host of other musicians together on one
stage. Performers include, Hagos Berhane, Sammy Berhane, Aaron Kebreab,
Mulugeta "Wodi Zager", Amanuel Kahse, Michael Goitom, Sudanese vocalist per
excellence Mohamed Adareb, and one of the new generation dynamic young
Eritrean artists Feruz Geberemeskel.
Amongst the featured musicians will be Selam Seyoum, we are excited about
the rare appearance by one of the most prolific Eritrean guitarists who had
made a huge impact as the driving force behind the legendary Roha band. Lead
by Temesgen "puppa", the band players include, Salhadin, Russom "wodi Afro"
Tesfai, Teklit, Tedros Berhane, Arbisha, Solo, and Dawit. The event will be
MCed by the affable master of ceremonies Mike "Lingo" Berhane
The last two fundraisers were smashing successes in meeting our supporters'
expectations and this fundraiser aims to exceed that expectation. We want
you to partake in everything we have in store for you and being ON TIME will
give you that opportunity. Your support will provide much needed help and we
hope to see you at the event.
