President's wife hails efforts of Sheikha Fatima for humanitarian
initiatives

WAM Abu Dhabi, May 12, 2010 (WAM) -- Saba Hailu, Eritrean President's Wife
has hailed efforts of Her Highness Sheikha Fatima bint Mubarak, Supreme
Chairperson of the Family Development Foundation and Chairperson of the UAE
General Women's Union in supporting humanitarian initiatives, programs and
projects.
During her meeting with a delegation of Zayed Giving Initiative led by its
CEO Dr Adel Al Shamri, the first lady of Eritrea also commended efforts of
H.H. Sheikh Hamdan bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Ruler's Representative in the
Western Region and Chairman of the UAE Red Crescent Authority in alleviating
the suffering of patients in various countries around the world.
She also praised the role of Sheikha Fatima commending her support to
various humanitarian projects not only in UAE and Eritrea, but allover the
world.
Moreover, she highlighted the distinguished relations between the two
countries laid by late Sheikh Zayed Bin Sultan Al-Nahyan, founder of the UAE
and continued till now by President H.H. Sheikh Khalifa bin Zayed Al Nahyan
and His Excellency President Isaias Afewerki of Eritrea.
The Eritrean President's Wife received " Zayed Giving Initiative" Shield by
Dr. Adel Al Shamri in recognition of her efforts to contribute to the
success of the of the Mission of " Zayed Giving Initiative" delegation in
her country.
On the other hand, a cooperation agreement was signed in the presence of the
Eritrean President's Wife between "The Eritrean Ministry of Health" and "
The Giving Camapign "launched by H.H. Sheikh Hamdan.
The agreement was signed by Dr. Adel Al Shamri and H.E. Amna Nur Hussein,
Eritrean Minister of Health.
For her part, the Eritrean Minister of Health praised the leading role of
Sheikh Hamdan in the field of philanthropy.
