Demeaning And Insulting To The Security Council
Eritrea Profile, Saturday 22nd of May, 2010
Their anxiety mounting as their
lies and deception continue to be
exposed, the TPLF regime and its
masters as well as those quarters that
are always ready to entertain the
adventurism of these groups have
recently submitted a "case" before
the Security Council accompanied
by much hype. Following is the
full content of the cheap and pitiful
attempt at a political game which can
only be considered as a demeaning
and insulting the Security Council:
The Ministry of Foreign Affairs
of the Federal Republic of Ethiopia
pursuant to the resolutions 751
(1992) and 1907 (2009) has the
honor to submit herewith part of
the information with regard to the
list of individuals and entities that
should be subjected to the measures
of the aforementioned resolutions.
The Ministry would further like to
inform the Committee that Ethiopia
looks forward to visit at the earliest
possible time so that full information
including interviews with some
relevant individuals could be made
available.

. In 2007 when the ARS
(Alliance for the Re-liberation of
Simalia) headed by Hassen Dahir
Aweys began to organize itself in
Asmara with the aim of creating
havoc in Somalia, it was Yemane
Gebreab, who more than anyone
else, took major responsibility in
organizing, arming and dispatching
the ARS to Somalia.
. Mr. Yemane is a high ranking
Eritrean offi cial who, until the
Djibouti process, had direct contacts
with Muktar Robo and Yusuf
Endeade, through Co. Hash; who
was later assassinated. He led the
terror campaign raging in Somalia
by allocating the necessary budget
as well as military equipment.
. When the group in Asmara led
by Sheikh Sherif Sheik Ahmed
denounced terror and headed to
Djibouti to make peace with the
TFG, a splinter group advocating
violence and terror led by Hassen
Dahir Aweys and the following
accomplice transported arms to
Mogadishu to incite terror. These
include Osman A. Hassan Eden
Bedriya, Ali A. Mohammed, Dahir
Hussein Hassan, Kahir S. Ali,
Mohammed S. Ali, Jeyresu Abdi
and others. This was arranged
by leasing an airplane from
Capital Airlines Limited (Tel.

through the Eritrean Embassy
there. The arms were destined
to Mogadishu and arrived at km
50, an airstrip near Mogadishu,

planned, directed and executed by

. When Yemane Gebreab found

was initially recruited for terrorist

last year. He was behind the suicide

Col. Omer Hassan, Ambassador
Abdulkarim Lacino, and 20 other

could be ascertained from Kenyan
Security Offi cials.
. Most of the time Yemane

coordinates Eritrean Government
trading transport institutions to
be utilized by terrorists. He uses
the names and networks of these
institutions as a legitimate cover to
funnel funds to terrorist groups in
Somalia and the region.
. Numerous evidences exist
that prove that since the beginning
of 2008, Mr. Hagos used to pay
terrorists 40,000 to 50,000 USD per
month and 60,000 USD per month
to those groups like Al-Shabaab,
Hizbul Islam and Raas Kaambooni,
who have especially demonstrated
success in their atrocities. This was
coordinated through the chain of
command of President Issaias, Mr
Yemane Gebreab and Col. Teame
Goitom.

those leaders of terrorist groups
and others who received payments
laundered through Eritrean trading

are being detained.
