Eritrean President Leaves Khartoum
Khartoum, May 28 (QNA) - Eritrean President Issaias Afwerki left here today after taking part in the inauguration ceremony of Sudanese President Omar Al-Bashir, held yesterday at the National Assembly premises in Khartoum twin city of Omdurman.
Yamani Gabrab, the political advisor to the Eritrean president said Afwerki discussed with his Sudanese counterpart developments in Sudan, progress towards the implementation of the comprehensive peace agreement, the referendum which will be held year to determine the fate of south Sudan and other important issues pertaining to the Horn of Africa.
He added that the Eritrean official renewed hope that the forthcoming referendum would lead to stability, peace and Sudan's unity. (QNA)
