Taha receives visiting Eritrean delegation
Khartoum, Jan. 8 (SUNA) - Vice President of the Republic, Ali Osman Mohamed Taha, received at his office at the General Secretariat of the Council of Ministers Saturday the visiting Eritrean delegation, headed by the Advisor of the Eritrean President for Political Affairs, Yamani Gabarab and the Eritrean Minister of Foreign Affairs, Osman Saleh Mohamed, who conveyed a written message from the Eritrean President, Issais Afeworki, to the President of the Republic, Field Marshal Omer Al-Bashir
The message of the Eritrean President dealt with the bilateral relations, the current political situation in Sudan and the post-referendum situation as well as progress of the Sudanese - Eritetrian cooperation in the coming period
Meanwhile, Advisor of the Eritrean President, Yamani Gabarab, affirmed the support of his country to Sudan, saying that his country respects the choice of the people of south Sudan
He called for establishing strong relations between Sudan and South Sudan if the latter choose to secede regardless of the referendum's result, wishing that the new era witness unity, peace and stability.
