Wali of Kassala State: Relations with Eritrea will boost Sudan stability
Kassala, Jan. 17 (SUNA)- The Wali (governor) of Kassala State, Mohamed Yousif Adam, affirmed that Sudan borders with Eritrea are stable and safe and represent a door for joint trade and investment work between the peoples of the two countries
He pointed out in a press statement upon his return from a visit to Eritrea that the visit was successful and came with the aim to follow uo the work of the joint Sudanese - Eritrean committee which was formed for strengthening bilateral relations in all domains
. On his meeting with the Eritrean President, Assias Afewerki, Adam said that he discussed a number of issues of mutual concern, security of the borders and settlement of issues which required efforts of the two countries
He said that the President Afewerki accepted the invitation extended to him to take part in inauguration of Al-Laffa continental highway which links Sudan with Eritrea which will be launched by the President of the Republic, Field Marshal Omer Al-Bashir during his coming visit to Kassala State
