Toward the end of the season, Meron participated in a two-day CISAA Conference
Championships running the 800m in 3:12.96 and the 1600m in 7:10.68. Latin's
girl's track team won the conference championships & later went on to win the
state championships as well.
Shortly after school closed, Meron traveled to Madrid, Spain on a study abroad
trip. She was there from June 6- 26th, and upon returning she began working at
Latin's summer camps & picked running again to train for her prospective cross
country season.
She started Cross country with a  25th place on the list of the record fast
times for girl's cross country at Latin. Running six cross country meets
including Conference Championships, she ran a seasonal personal record at the
CISAA Conference race with a time of 23:32.00 on Oct. 22, 2010. Latin's team won
the conference race with a near perfect score.
Meron is also a high achieving student and she had been participating in her
school's musical group, The Wiz.  She have maintained a 4.0 GPA and have
participated in events to represent her school such as a junior female
empowerment and leadership conference called Take the Lead in South Hadley, MA
in November and the Student Diversity Leadership Conference in San Diego,
California this past December.
EAAA expects from the runners to be all-rounded students, that is to achieve a
greater athletic performance while maintaining academic excellence.
In the pictures, Meron wears number 259 during EAAA Festival run in Washington,
DC and in the second one, she is seating at the center with her cross country
team of Charlotte Latin.
Meron is a shining example and we look forward into her better achievements in
running and academics in 2011!
