Assistant of the President returns home after visit to Eritrea
Khartoum, March 1 (SUNA) - Assistant to the President of the Republic, Musa Mohamed Ahmed, returned home Tuesday after a two-day official visit to Eretria, where he held talks with a number of Eritrean officials
Musa said in a statement to SUNA upon return at Khartoum airport that his visit to Asmara came as part of the consultations with the Eritrean ruling party on the situation in Sudan following the referendum of south Sudan besides the Eritrean stances toward the Sudan
The Assistant of the President said that the Eritrean ruling party ahas affirmed its support to the stability of Sudan, explaining that his talks focused on revising East Sudan Peace Agreement as well as the implementation of the remaining clauses
Musa said that the meetings also discussed the process of development in east Sudan, particularly the considerable support extended by the State of Qatar of 600 Million US dollars
Meanwhile, the Assistant of the President referred to the joint mechanism of the Eastern Front, National Congress and Eretria on the implementation of the joint projects at the border areas. Musa described his visit to Asmara as fruitful, explaining that the relations between Sudan and Eritrean have developed greatly through the exchange of continuous visits by officials in the two countries
Hesaid that there are mutual understandings between the two sides with regard to the implementation of service projects in the border areas
