Asmara, Eritrea 10-13 July 2012
The National Union of Eritrean
Youth and Students (NUEYS) cordially invites you to participate in East Africa
Youth Forum in the capital city of Eritrea, Asmara, from 10-13 July 2012 as
well as the succeeding 5th Eri-Youth Festival, which will take place
from 13-15 July 2012.
NUEYS will be conducting an
East African Youth Forum with the goal of bringing together National Youth
Councils, representatives of youth and student organizations, and friends to
share ideas, views, best practices and concrete recommendations for active
youth participation and citizenship for conflict transformation and regional
integration. This forum will not only raise awareness on the pressing issues
the youth of the Horn of Africa/East Africa face, but also develop a platform
for youth to become more active in their communities, countries and region. For
more information about the Forum, please visit our website:
http://www.nueys.org.
The Eri-Youth Festival, which
is held in Sawa every two years, celebrates the achievements and valuable role
of the Eritrean youth movement in nation building, development and in
preserving national unity and sovereignty. Over 25,000 youth are expected to
participate in the 5th Eri-Youth Festival.
